What will happen in Election 2020
I wish people would pay attention to the events of their own lifetime.
We already know what’s going to happen in election 2020 because in 2004 the Democrats did exactly the same thing they’re doing now.
In 2004, we were in an illegal “war on terror”, Bush was deeply unpopular worldwide, and we needed a candidate who was a strong opposition to him. Instead, the Democrats gave us John Kerry.
George W. Bush destroyed him, winning the popular vote by a decisive 50.7% to Kerry’s 48.3%.
White women helped deliver that victory for Bush because they said they were worried about the safety of their kids (white kids) and Bush was a “strong war president” (because he dropped bombs on brown kids).
Sound familiar? 47% of white women voted for Trump while 45% of white women voted for Hillary Clinton in 2016.
56.7% of the electorate voted in 2004, a sharp increase from 51.21% in 2000. That reflects how many thought it was an important election. A lot of people stood in lines for hours on end. A lot of people desperately wanted and expected Bush to lose. He still won.
People blamed it on long lines, voter ID laws, gerrymandering, and hacked voter machines in the crucial swing state of Ohio.
