Paganphobia is a very real and vicious thing, for sure.

That's not why I don't like Hindus being called Pagan, though. I don't like being called Pagan because Pagans are the Indigenous peoples of Europe. I'm not an Indigenous person of Europe, I'm Hindu from India. Different Indigenous peoples who follow their ancestral traditions should be called by their own identifying name of their own langauge, otherwise it leads to more erasure of their identity and struggle. In my experience, conflating the identities of different Indigenous peoples only brings up more problems. Hindus aren't Pagans. Hindus are Hindus. Pagans are Pagans. I want both Hindus and Pagans and other Indigenous peoples around the world to be able to live unmolested by the violent Christian supremacy that has genocided us all for so long. <3
