Child Abuse and the Left

You know what I’ve noticed?
I’ve noticed that the Left doesn’t seem too concerned about child sex abuse unless Donald J. Trump is allegedly committing it.
It’s not part of any of our conversations. It’s not part of anyone’s analysis of systems of oppression. It’s not part of anyone’s talking points, except a few Black and brown women who are sidelined.
The Left doesn’t talk about it. And if some few of us do talk about it, those people get labeled conspiracy theorists and are laughed off. As if child rape is something to laugh about.
There are two reasons for this:
1. The 2SLGBTQIA+ community has long been demonized by the Right for being predators of children, something we all know to be a total fallacy. Most child sex abusers are heterosexual and cis. So in order to uplift the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, we don’t bring up child rape.
2. The Right cares about child rape and pedophilia. They’ve been researching and discussing this issue for years. And the Left hate the Right with such a passion that we never uplift anything they ever talk about, because that would give them the power of steering the conversation.
